The outstanding Limoges box features highly-detailed painting throughout. Shish-kabobs, sausages, fish, bacon and tomatoes grill over an open fire. The bottom shelf is hand-painted with a bellow, mitts, a bag of charcoal and a box of matches over a blue gingham tablecloth. The top opens to reveal more detailed paintings of charcoal file inside the lid and family on a picnic inside the base. The Limoges box features outstanding metalwork, side shelves and wheels. Crafted entirely in Limoges, France with the insignia of the artist at the base.
