Iconic WWII American Fighter Aircraft! This fantastic Limoges box represents a WWII US NAVY FIGHTER AIRCRAFT. The words "Beetle Bomb" is written in the front of the plane on both sides. This plane did exist - it is a Grumman F8F Bearcat which flew with the Blue Angels in the 1950s.
The fighter plane Limoges box is hand-painted with great detailing and features handsome metalwork, wheels and a single propeller which does turn. Meticulously crafted of fine French porcelain and hand-painted in Limoges, France and bears the insignia of the artist at the base.
