The Holy Land! This outstanding Limoges box features Jerusalem's WAILING WALL against the city buildings, including the Al-Aqsa Mosque in the background. The Limoges box has a couple of inscribtions in Hebrew and French. In the front of the Limoges is the inscription "le mur des lamentations Jerusalem" which translates to "The Wailing Wall of Jerusalem." It also shows the date 538. 538 BC marks the date of the return of Jews to Jerusalem from their exile in Babylon under the edict issued by King Cyrus of Persia.

On the back of the wall is a Hebrew writing in 24K Gold as well as the Bible verse from Psalm 137:5 of David "Si je t'oublie jamai Jerusalem que ma droite me refuse son service" which translates to: "If I forget you, O Jerusalem, Let my right hand forget its skill!" Inside is an inscription on a scroll as well as a removable porcelain placque: "paix dans le monde" which translates to "Peace in the world."
